FOREST STEWARDSHIP COUNCIL

Engagement in Responsible Forestry

At Fog & Venø, we are committed to ensuring that all the wood we use comes from responsibly managed forests.

Our goal is for 100% of our wood procurement to be FSC™ certified, demonstrating that the wood is produced in compliance with environmental, social, and economic standards.

This goal is a key part of our procurement strategy and reflects our ambition to promote responsible forestry.

Through collaboration with certified suppliers, we aim to contribute to protecting biodiversity, ensuring fair working conditions, and supporting responsible forest management practices.

Our commitment to responsible forestry is a central part of our ESG strategy. We are dedicated not only to ensuring sustainable materials but also to promoting a more responsible approach to forestry throughout the supply chain.

"Responsible forestry is not just a certification – it is part of our DNA."

Katrine Trærup Nielsen,
ESG Manager at Fog & Venø

FSC™-certified Wood – What Does It Mean?

FSC™ (Forest Stewardship Council™) is an international certification scheme that ensures sustainable forestry.

By choosing FSC™-certified wood, you help:

  • Protect the environment and biodiversity.
  • Ensure proper working conditions and rights for forestry workers.
  • Support responsible forest management, where no more trees are felled than the forest can regenerate.

Our wood panels are made from FSC™-certified wood and other controlled materials, guaranteeing responsible production without harming nature.

What is FSC™?

The Forest Stewardship Council™ is a global non-profit labelling scheme for wood and paper. The certification ensures full traceability, so the wood’s origin can be documented from forest to finished product. To sell FSC™-certified products, forest owners, sawmills, and manufacturers must be certified, and retailers must have a trademark licence.
