FSC™-certified wood at Fog & Venø
At Fog & Venø, all the wood we purchase for our indoor panels is FSC™-certified.
FSC™-certification documents that the wood can be traced back to forests managed according to FSC™'s environmental, social, and economic requirements — including consideration for biodiversity, proper working conditions for forestry workers, and ensuring that no more wood is felled than the forest can regenerate.
100% of the wood we purchase for the production of our indoor panels is FSC™-certified. This is a fixed part of our procurement strategy, which we ensure through collaboration with FSC™-certified suppliers and requirements for full traceability.
Our requirement for FSC™-certified wood forms part of our ESG strategy.
We work with FSC because independent certification gives our customers an assurance our own words cannot: that the wood is controlled and can be traced throughout the entire supply chain.

FSC™-certified wood – what does it mean?
FSC™ (Forest Stewardship Council™) is an international certification scheme for the control and traceability of wood.
The FSC™ standard sets requirements for, among other things:
Consideration for the environment and biodiversity in forest management
Proper working conditions and rights for forestry workers
Ensuring that no more wood is felled than the forest can regenerate
Our entire panel range is made from FSC™-certified wood and other controlled materials, with full traceability from forest to finished product.
What "controlled materials" means in practice
FSC™ has several product labels, and the difference lies in the composition:
FSC™ 100% — all the wood in the product comes from FSC™-certified forests.
FSC™ Mix — products carrying the FSC™ Mix label contain a minimum of 70% FSC™-certified and/or recycled material, and no more than 30% controlled wood.
Controlled wood is not FSC™-certified, but it is controlled to ensure it does not originate from unacceptable sources — for example illegal logging, forests where high conservation values are threatened, or forests being converted to other uses.
What is FSC™?
Forest Stewardship Council™ is a global non-profit labelling scheme for wood and paper. The certification ensures full traceability, so the wood's origin can be documented from forest to finished product. To sell FSC™-certified products, forest owners, sawmills, and manufacturers must all be certified, and retailers must hold a trademark licence.
